A Short of Sorts: A Witch of a Solution

Super cool background illustrations by L!

We’re a little past Halloween, but hopefully, you guys are in the mood for some witchy nonsense, still! I tried to keep it a bit lighter after the past couple stories, so hopefully I succeeded? Also remember that I’m still taking prompts for the next story, and the prompt theme is SOFT! (You can check out this post for more info, but feel free to prompt here.) Anyhow, here’s all the prompts!:

If you prefer a different medium, this story’s also up on Instagram and Tumblr (and there’s a Tweet for this post)! You can also find out more about the project, past stories, and how to get your own custom stories on this page. And if you’re enjoying the project and want to support it, consider dropping me a Ko-Fi?

See you guys in two weeks for the next story!

Prompt Call: Forest

07Forest

After skipping a round, it’s prompt call time again! Give me your prompts, and I’ll take every last one and work it into a short story. This time, the theme is FOREST! Tell me, what lurks in the dark shadows of the trees? Or is it the trees itself we should be fearing? Anything goes for a prompt: ideas, words, pictures, poetry, music, whatever you can throw at me. You don’t have to follow the theme, it’s just a nudge to get your brain juices flowing. Otherwise, the general rules apply:

  • You can prompt at any point in time, on any social media where I lurk (like on these posts on Insta, Twitter, and Tumblr), but if it might get worked into the next story if it’s later.
  • You can give me as many prompts as you like—just pretty please keep it within reason.
  • Keep prompts PG-13, and nothing offensive.
  • By giving me prompts, you’re giving me the honor to do whatever I’d like with them in/with my stories as my content. Prompts themselves remains to whoever owns them.

For more info, stories, and custom stories, check out the project page. And if you want to support this project, consider giving me a coffee on Ko-Fi?

Now, hit me with those prompts! And look forward to the story written with last theme’s prompts going live tomorrow!!!

Bacon Typos: Round 4! (Typo Extravaganza!!!)

Sorry for the long break between typos! With Pitch Wars (speaking of, go check out my mentee’s amazing entry over here), life shenanigans, and writing/editing, I’ve been a busy bee and forgotten my first-Wednesday-of-the-month post. So, without further ado, enjoy the hoard of typos I’ve been sitting on!

There you have it! I hope my mistakes at least gave you a chuckle in the middle of the week doldrums. I post the typos in text as I find them on Twitter and on my author Tumblr, so feel free to follow for more throughout the month.

Bacon Typos: Round 1!

If you’re following me anywhere other than here, you might have seen me messing with my latest project: bringing my infamous typos into graphic format! I won’t won’t waste your time rambling about it, check it out!!!

So, what do you think? Good idea? Terrible idea? Only do the text? Do a monthly round up? Weekly? I don’t want to spam you guys with something dumb that doesn’t at least make you smile. But if you do like it, feel free to reblog the photoset on Tumblr, or check out the Pinterest board!

(In other slightly related news, I have an instagram account! Give me a follow so I can follow you guys back!)

Hope you guys are having a great June so far.
